stupid question about xine run file

I know this is stupid, but I have looked all over the place and can't fine the file to start xine. I ran the ./configure, make, make install, and it created the /usr/local/.... direcories, but the only runable application in there is xine-configure, which I can't get to run. I have searched for xine and gxine. It didn't find gxine and there is no aplication file xine.

any thoughts?

did you install the xine-ui or gxine? If you just compiled the libxine, then you still need to install the frontends.

Now is the portion of our show where I proclaim my idiocy and my inability to understand simple instructions. Thank you quatsch for leading to the light.

That is to say I downloaded xine-ui and it works now.

thanks
