Standard supported by Linux

There are several standards available in Unix world like(SVR,BSD,Unix95 and Unix98).

I have two questions

1. what these standards specifes or defines? Are they defining system API's or system Architectures?

2. what standard is supported by Linux?

Thanks,
Rajaram.
