Yes, auth is via rsa files pair in next way: node mounted /home directory from server to own /home (actually node is diskless). So ssh-client in node should see id_rsa file while ssh-server on node004 should check authorized_keys (id_rsa.pub is there) on same directory

can other clients SSH into the server? Did you restart the SSH daemon on the server? Are there errors in your auth log (/var/log/secure or /var/log/auth.log) on the server?
