Spurious ack on isa0060/serio0 (Backtrack 3)

Hello,

I have a problem with Backtrack 3. I installed it to my hard drive and configured to dual boot with win xp. It was all working properly until I repartitioned my disk under windows. I merged two partitions which I only used for data, and not even touched linux or windows partitions. Now when I select Backtrack from bootloader menu I get the "spurious ack" error. I can only turn off the machine by pressing the power button for some time when I get the error. I checked several posts about the problem; most people say that they got the error right after/during the installation. But I was able to use the backtrack without problem before repartitioning my disk.

Any ideas/solutions? I wonder if I can fix it by reinstalling lilo.

if you had three partitions and now have only two the root partition name that backtrack is located on probably changed. ie (hda3.sda3) to (hda2,sda2) or something similer most likely will have to edit the etc/fstab and your lilo
