I did be very grateful for those who help me with this. I am working in an environment where some of my colleagues are using linux os and some are using windows. We are communicating through messengers but by using smbclient -M <IP Address> we acn send messages to windows os but i dont know how to get messages back to linux ok from windows os.

I'm not sure I understand the issue. What's the problem with using an IM protocol like Jabber? You can use IM clients on the command line as well. In fact if you need to colloborate as a group, why not setup an IRC server, and just chat? IRC is *the* original solution for online colloboration, and is supported by nearly all platforms, and there's tons of great Free clients available.

AFAIK the samba messaging client uses the ms messenger service to send messages so you could probably use
net send <ip address> <message>

Yes that is true but you need to enable do some thing more
on the linux system.
in the smb.conf file you need to add the command
that has to be executed when the message is sent to
you.
so try learning about smb.conf that might help
