Second growisofs session not same mkisofs-options as in the first?

Hi:

What happens if I use growisofs for a second session (multissesion) and do not make the mkisofs-options exactly equal to those of the first session? I only remember I used -R -J but I could have used -joliet-long or -iso-level 2 too. If I ask it's because the man page specically says to use the same options, but I do not the risk. Of course I could burn a test disk, but I want to know for sure.

growisofs by <appro@fy.chalmers.se>, version 7.0,
mkisofs 2.01.01a23 (i686-pc-linux-gnu)
