Rsync For The 1st Time

OK - let me start off by noting I did a Google search and also searched here and did not find a basic guide to follow. I decided to ask here because everyone who can offer advice can take my specific info into account of their recommendations.

I have a server1 ( and now a new server2 ( Server1 has a boat load of user home directories in it and I would like to know how to set up a Rsync every evening at 7pm to make sure any changes on server1 or replicated over to server2. Basically I want /home on server1 to match /home on server2. I would assume this would be done via crontab -e and generating a new job but I have no idea what the rsync command would look like. Anyone have any tips for me?

Thanks so much!
