Restoring GRUB

Hello,

Ubuntu 9.10

I have Ubuntu 9.10 installed on one of my partitions. However, I needed to install Redhat 5.3 on a separate partition. However, doing this broke my GRUB for Ubuntu.

However, I can't boot into my Ubuntu. And I don't have my Live CD.

Is there another way I can restore my GRUB for Ubuntu without the live CD?

Many thanks,

If you now have another grub boot menu, hit c for the grub prompt, then it can be installed from there, but Ubuntu has grub 2, so partitions start with 1, not with 0. http://www.supergrubdisk.org/index.php , and look here; http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1195275 and this site too; http://www2.linux.com/component/cont...al-linux/32736
