repartitioning of linux space from /home to /usr

Can any body help me in transferring the excess space in /home to /usr.

I had assigned to 6 gb to /home and 2 gb to /usr. Now i am finding short of space in /usr and excess space in /home.

Is there any way, these free space to be transferred to /usr
