ReiserFS & USB hard drive

Hi guys,

here is my problem, which i hope you can help me solve. i got a new USB hard drive & one of the partitions is ReiserFS. i have NO PROBLEMS mounting the drive as user, but then i have no permissions to create folders or to copy files. it's confusing me, because i am able to mount it, but not use it. here is part of my fstab:

Code:
/dev/sda2 /mnt/external reiserfs defaults,noauto,users 0 0
i am using udev, so here is part of my udev.permissions

Code:
sd*:root:users:660
thanks for your help,

Shemeta

Hi.

Perhaps the files and directories on the drive are owned by root (or someone else)?

the hard drive is new, i just formated it with
Code:
mkreiserfs /dev/sda2
, so there are no files & directories there. and user can't create any.
