Question Reformatting Harddrive

Hi.
I'm new to linux but must learn. After many efforts I finally installed redhat enterprise linux on my system but my Windows xp is no more. I would like to reformat the drive where windows xp is and re-install it. How do i go about it?

If you didn't erase your WinXP partition, there is no need to reformat. Just setup your boot loader (grub or lilo) to boot also the Windows partition. Search this forum for "dual booting". There are lots of threads for this.

Regards

If you are really lucky, this could be an issue with adding Windows to your bootloader.
The output of "cfdisk -Ps" or "fdisk -l" will show what partitions remain on your computer.
If Windows is indeed gone you want to read some on creating partitions. Reformatting is not all you need to do if Windows is gone (and you want to keep the LInux install, if possible).

I tried doing a duel boot before and was not successful with it... I might attempt to do this again... that would be so much easier than having to have two seperate computers!
