redhat enterprise 4 and useradd

hello everyone!
would anyone please help me figure out this.
I login as a user and I want to as another user, so I open a shell " su + passwd"
now I am a super user, and then I execute " useradd -c "clinton fisher" cfisher.
to add the new user. I got an error message saying "cannot be find"

however, when I login a root, I have no problem.

thank you

When you su put a dash ( - ) after it like this ..... su -
That make it find commands without typing the full path. If you used the full path, that would work also. For example: /usr/sbin/useradd fred
