Question RedHat 9 install problem...

hi everyone,
I'm running into a problem installing Redhat 9. Well, i downloaded the iso files:

shrike-i386-disc1.iso
shrike-i386-disc2.iso
shrike-i386-disc3.iso

Then i burned these images onto CD using Nero Burn on a Windows 2000 workstation. Now, when i insert disk 1, it looks ok, it asks if i want to install Redhat using GUI or text. I assume that the CD is working. So, i choose GUI (just pressed enter). Now, when the system starts booting, it gets to a blue screen (asks what language, keyboard, and where the install files are) here's where install stops. When it asks where the install files are, i select CDROM and then an message pops up saying that there in no RedHat CD found in any of the CDROM drives. I dont know why its doing that. Did I burn the CD incorrectly?? Please, someone help me. Thanks.

Sounds like a bad iso/cd. Have a look at the nero instructions at linuxiso.org and check it against the method you used.
Also you can check the iso images with md5sum (I think there is a windows version available - google for it), the number returned against your downloaded iso's must match the number published on the ftp site where you got the images, usually in a file called md5sum.txt or something like that.

Your welcome :-)

Once you work out what you need to do you can start helping other newbies, thats what I do. I'm not much of a coder so I my way of giving back to the open source comunity that provides me with all this great software is to help people getting it working.
