filth LQ Newbie Registered: Apr 2003 Location: New Zealand Distribution: Redhat 9.0 Posts: 13 Rep:	Redhat 9.0 compile error I just rebuilt my kernel and tried to boot from it when I got the error message /sbin/modprobe -s -k nls_iso8859-1. error 2. And then the usual kernel panic, unable to boot. I checked my kernel again and it seems that nls is the native language that will be used for reading filesystems and that iso8859-1 is the default. I couldnt see anything wrong with this. Has anybody seen this error before?
