redhat 9.0


Redhat 9.0 uses the 2.4 kernal, right?

Yes. 2.4.18, if I remember correctly.

Allright, thanks, I wouldn't be able to set up an internet connection if it wasn't part of the 2.4 series.

Try typing "uname -a" without the quotes in a terminal, and it will show you what kernel is being used.

You can also check out distrowatch.com, I believe they track kernel versions.

I think it's the 8 (Psyche) who uses 2.4.18 ; the 9 (Shrike) is a 2.4.20-8 based kernel
