Hi,

I have two hard-disks, with windows XP existing on the first partition of first disk. Recently i installed RedHat 8 on the second disk, using the last cylinders of that disk (giving linux approx 6 GB of space), with grub being written on MBR. Now, whenever i start up my system, it boots up Linux perfectly fine, but when i choose DOS in grub, it gives this error - "Error 21 ...disk read error" and does not boots up windows. The arguements written with DOS in grub are - rootnoverify (hd0,0) and chainloader +1, which means its pointing to correct partition on first disk. Now, i m not able to understand, why grub is giving such a strange error. Please help how to boot windows as well. I tried re-installing linux but of no help.
