RedHat 5.3 speed slow down after configuring LDAP

Hi friend

Yesterday I configured SAMBA 3 in REDHAT 5.3 as my PDC and its working absolutely fine with my windows xp clients. I used smbpasswd for storing password files. Today I configure LDAP and after configure it properly my computer speed slow down.. like useradd command adding users in around 5 to 6 minutes .. same thing happened if i add group.. login from windows xp to SAMBA PDC also taking so much time. I would like to use ldap with my samba.. WHY MY COMPUTER PROCESS LIKE ADDING USERS AND LOGGIN TAKE TIMES

Thanks in advance

The problem is most likely related to dependent services being unable to contact the LDAP server. You can confirm this by sudo cat /var/log/messages | grep LDAP

The cause would be either that the LDAP server is not running, its incoming port is blocked or that the dependent services are misconfigured as to the location of the listening LDAP.
