pyGTK v. wxPython...?


Would you agree that wxWidgets in general (including wxPython) provides a level of abstraction for easier coding and better cross platform compatibily than does GTK+ (including pyGTK)?

Please let me know which one you would recommend and any big advantages/disadvantates you see.

My opinion is one-sided, since I haven't tried any GTK stuff. I've been very happy with wxWidgets/wxPython so far; it was very easy to learn (even with very little GUI-design background) and is pretty simple to use. And, as far as I know, wxWidgets on Linux uses GTK to draw everything, so the look-and-feel is similar to a GTK app.
