Promise UltraATA100 on Asus A7V

Anyone else have an A7V with the promis ata 100 carb built in to the mobo, that also has the ata 66 on it. My drives on the ata 66 are /dev/hda-/dev/hdd...just dont know where the drives on the ata 100 card show up. I found them at one point before (maybe a year ago) but I dont remember the path. Can someone help me?

I'm not sure about the onboard Promise, but when I was wrangling with my Promise PCI controller card the drives on it appeared as hde and hdf.
This mini-HOWTO might help.

Yeah, you're right DMR, the drives on the promise PCI controller card appeard as

hde <- Primary master
hdf <- Primary Slave
hdg <- Secondary Master
hdh <- Secondary Slave

on the promise card of course.

it seems to be the same with the onboard on the A7v..i just needed to update to kernel 2.4, and it was recognized automatically.

If you would like to use a 2.2 kernel for some reason then you can pass in ide2=A,B ide3=C,D where A, B, C, and D are the memory addresses of the promise card IDE channels. You can get the memory address from /proc/pci or using lspci.
