Promblems with X-Server..

Sry for my bad english

Hello I´m a Linux newbie so i started to install my first Linux distribution (fedora core 6)..

My problem is that in the /etc/X11/ is no xorg.conf

i just got the shell..

The error messages are..

(EE) open dev/fb0: No such directory

(EE) Unable to locate/open config file

Fatal server error:
A driver tried to allocate- the block Memresource ...

Fatal IO error 104

I hope somebody knows what to do..

You probably have a video card that direct access to the frame buffer is not allowed or is not compliant with programming standards. In any case if this is the first time installing you may want to try a lower version of red hat like 5 or maybe another distro that lets you ask what kind of video device you would like to use rather then just droping directly to the frame buffer.
