Has anyone here successfully installed Project Looking Glass? I've read quite a bit about it but I have a few questions. First is it safe to use, or by installing all of those Java apps and Looking Glass am I more likely to just mess up my linux install? Can it be used as an alternative WM to KDE or Gnome? If so what are its current capabilities, can you access the internet with it? Also what apps (x11) does it support?
It is in a very early stage and isn't exactly stable. It is, however, usable from what I've heard.
Just try and install everything in /usr/local, not /usr, and you should be fine. be prepared for it not to work though, I have tried it in the past (it was a long time ago though).
