Problems with cdrecord

I have Knoppix 3.9 and can not use CD record :-
This is what I get .
root@Knoppix:/home/David/Documents/passwordrecovery# view error.txt
root@Knoppix:/home/David/Documents/passwordrecovery# cdrecord dev=1,0,0 -v /home/David/Documents/passwordrecovery/cd060213.iso
This is wodim, not cdrecord. Don't expect it to behave like cdrecord in any
way, don't refer to it as "cdrecord". Send problem reports to
debburn-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org, don't bother Joerg Schilling with any
problems caused by this application.

cdrecord: No write mode specified.
cdrecord: Asuming -tao mode.
cdrecord: Future versions of wodim may have different drive dependent defaults.
TOC Type: 1 = CD-ROM
scsidev: '1,0,0'
scsibus: 1 target: 0 lun: 0

Warning: This version of libscg has not been configured via the standard
autoconfiguration method of the Schily makefile system. There is a high risk
that the code is not configured correctly and for this reason will not behave
as expected.
cdrecord: No such file or directory. Cannot open '/dev/sg*'. Cannot open SCSI driver.
cdrecord: For possible targets try 'wodim -scanbus'.
cdrecord: For possible transport specifiers try 'wodim dev=help'.
cdrecord:
cdrecord: For more information, install the cdrkit-doc
cdrecord: package and read /usr/share/doc/wodim/README.ATAPI.setup .

I don't know if this helps :-

root@Knoppix:/home/David/Documents/passwordrecovery# cdrecord =/dev/hdc -scanbus

That's a hacked-up version of the program, I can't say it's the same as mine, but "cdrecord" I used today.

Code:
Cdrecord-Clone 2.01.01a04 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2006 Jörg Schilling
Supported SCSI transports for this platform:

Transport name: sg
Transport descr.: Generic transport independent SCSI
Transp. layer ind.:
Target specifier: bus,target,lun
Target example: 1,2,0
SCSI Bus scanning: supported
Open via UNIX device: not supported

Transport name: pg
Transport descr.: SCSI transport for ATAPI over Parallel Port
Transp. layer ind.:
Target specifier: bus,target,lun
Target example: 1,2,0
SCSI Bus scanning: supported
Open via UNIX device: not supported

Transport name: ATA
Transport descr.: ATA Packet specific SCSI transport
Transp. layer ind.: ATAPI:
Target specifier: bus,target,lun
Target example: ATAPI:1,2,0
SCSI Bus scanning: supported
Open via UNIX device: not supported

Transport name: ATA
Transport descr.: ATA Packet specific SCSI transport using sg interface
Transp. layer ind.: ATA:
Target specifier: bus,target,lun
Target example: 1,2,0
SCSI Bus scanning: supported
Open via UNIX device: not supported

Transport name: RSCSI
Transport descr.: Remote SCSI
Transp. layer ind.: REMOTE:
Target specifier: rscsi@host:bus,target,lun
Target example: REMOTE:rscsi@host:1,2,0
SCSI Bus scanning: supported
Open via UNIX device: not supported
You have to know if you're using SCSI or ATAPI. With no transport layer, I think it defaults to SCSI. I'm betting "CyberDrv CW038D CD-R/RW 110C Removable CD-ROM" is an ATAPI drive.

Code:
cdrecord dev=ATAPI -scanbus
Cdrecord-Clone 2.01.01a04 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2006 Jörg Schilling
scsidev: 'ATAPI'
devname: 'ATAPI'
scsibus: -2 target: -2 lun: -2
Warning: Using ATA Packet interface.
Warning: The related Linux kernel interface code seems to be unmaintained.
Warning: There is absolutely NO DMA, operations thus are slow.
Using libscg version 'schily-0.8'.
scsibus0:
        0,0,0 0) 'SONY ' 'CD-RW CRX320E ' 'NYK4' Removable CD-ROM
        0,1,0 1) *
        0,2,0 2) *
        0,3,0 3) *
        0,4,0 4) *
        0,5,0 5) *
        0,6,0 6) *
        0,7,0 7) *
Try like cdrecord dev=ATAPI:1,0,0 (image) or dev=ATAPI:0,0,0

You might use xcdroast too, nice GUI. Here's more howto stuff: http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/...om_an_ISO_file

The problem was that I was writing to the wrong address. Unfortunately the right address froze the PC. Any ideas anyone ?
