Problem Mounting NTFS

Hi,

I had a problem trying to mount ntfs,

the command so i used is :

mount -t ntfs /dev/hda5 /mnt/Xp

and the console returns a message with the next sentence :

mount: fs type ntfs not supported by kernel

i read the next files:

man mount
/etc/filesystems
/proc/filesystems

And i can't find somthing that help me

What i have to do for read my ntfs filesystem?

recompile the kernel with NTFS support
goto http://www.sourceforge.net
and search for NTFS...you will find it...

Just for fun, you could see if it's compiled already with Module support, so open a termnal:
modprobe ntfs
and then try again to mount. This would at least stop you from having to recompile your kernel for now. This would of course only work if your kernel was built for module support of the ntfs module.
