Hi !
Obvious things comes first. Did you shared the printer in the Windows box ?
Can you access the printer from the linux ? Try the following command:
Code:
bash-3.1$ smbclient //ip-of-windows/name-of-shared-printer -U a-valid-account-on-windows%password -W yourworkgroup
Domain=[yourworkgroup] OS=[Unix] Server=[Samba 3.0.9-1.3E.5]
smb: \> ls
. D 0 Tue Mar 21 09:32:21 2006
.. D 0 Wed Feb 22 11:17:19 2006
39345 blocks of size 262144. 34295 blocks available
smb: \> <type CTRL-D to quit>
bash-3.1$
If you get the smb proompt, than, yes, you have access.
Now it is a matter of setup a printer using the wizard your distro provides. The protocol is smb, use the server ip address and the name of printer. A more compact URL is something like this: smb://ip/printer.
