Angry Php Dynamic Refresh

FIRST : HOW DO I READ ALL THE TABLES FROM THE DATABASE INTO THE COMBO-BOX. I AM ONLY INTERESTED IN THE SQL STATEMENT e.g IN ORALCE IS DONE LIKE THIS : select table_name from user_tables. I will like anyone to kindly help me.I am reading data from the POSTGRES DATABASE.

SECOND: I WILL LIKE TO BE THAT WHEN I SELECT ATABLE FROM THE ABOVE COMBO-BOX , TO HAVE THE SECOND COMBO BOX BE REFRESHED TO CONTAIN ALL THE COLUMNS IN THAT RESPECTIVE TABLE , WITHOUT HAVING TO CALL A NEW PAGE.
