pdfsig - Segmentation fault (core dumped)


Wen i use pdfsig to validate a pdf digital signature i get this error "Segmentation fault (core dumped)". I checked log and there is this message "pdfsig[6529]: segfault at 38 ip 00007fb64486a824 sp 00007ffcf4361240 error 4 in libnss3.so[7fb644810000+13c000]"

What can i do to correct this error?

Linux Mint 19.2 Tina base: Ubuntu 18.04 bionic.

pdfsig version 0.62.0
If a program segfaults, it will be recorded in the kernel's log, which in this tells you that pdfsig has segfaulted, along with the address it segfaulted at. segfaults happen when a program tries to access memory it shouldn't be, which most likely means there's a problem in the code for pdfsig.

Unless you're a developer, then there's probably nothing you can do to "correct" this error. I would report the segfault to the software's developers, along with the distribution you're using, and the error message you've posted here from the kernel log.
