Question PDAs and Linux

Does anybody have any experience using and connecting PDAs with Linux? Not so much a PDA with Linux as an operating system but something like Palm os? Is connecting a Palm Vx complicated? Can a Compaq iPac be connected to Linux? I know it runs PocketPC but they are a seriously gorgeous PDA! I'm going to buy an high end model but don't know which one would work best with Linux Mandrake 7.2. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance

there are several for the palm, check your disks, you probably already have them somewhere. as for the rest, your best bet is to check sourceforge or freshmeat to see if anybody is working on connecting other brands to linux.
