Partitioning and Modem Detection Problem
Hi!
I am a first time Linux user.
My system has following configuration-
Pentium 4 3.0 with HT
Intel 915 GAV Original Motherboard
120 GB SATA HD Seagate
512 MB DDR RAM
PCTel HSP56 V.92 Micromodem 12.0300
Samsung CD/DVD Combo Drive
I am a Windows user and has following drive configuration-
C: 15 GB (Windows XP Installed)
D: 5 GB
E: 10 GB
F: 20 GB
(All FAT32)
Remaining Space is free (Approx. 65 GB)
I wanted to install Fedora Core 4 without interrupting my existing Windows installation.
But there are two problems-
I wasn't able to create a SWAP partition. I created two partitions as -
10 GB ROOT Partition
100 MB BOOT Partition
But still the system is running well with both Windows and Fedora.
Secondly, my PCTel HSP56 V.92 Micromodem was not detected by Fedora.
If you can please give me solution for my problems I shall really be thankful.
Thank you,
regards,
Vikas Gupta.
