Opensuse 10.2 restarts instead of shutting down

I just installed Opensuse 10.2 on my desktop pentium-4 pc containing ASUS motherboard and 1.5 GB RAM. Now whenever I try to shutdown my pc it restarts.please help me to resolve this problem.

reboots it instead? Is that the command you are using, if not what command are you trying?

Yes I tried shutdown -h now
I also tried to shutdown it using GUI i.e. K Menu > Leave > Shutdown Computer. But the result was the same.
