nodev filesystem types

I have written a kernel level c program and created an entry in file system type /proc/filesystems. In /proc/filesystems it came as nodev. My question is how can I mount this type of file system? I am in Linux minnt

If it really is a "nodev" pseudo-filesystem, you just use an arbitrary name in place of the device and explicitly specify the type, e.g.:
Code:
mount -t tmpfs any_name /tmp
It used to be common to use "none" for any_name, but that causes confusion when some error is reported on "none". So, now it is more common to pick something meaningful for that name, as in the following /etc/fstab entries, where the type has also been chosen for the device name.
Code:
tmpfs /tmp tmpfs strictatime,size=2g 0 0
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
sysfs /sys sysfs defaults 0 0
proc /proc proc defaults 0 0
