Netbackup Client Status

How to check whether Netbackup Client is running or not on the NB Client/Host?

Code:

# /etc/init.d/nbclient status
usage: /etc/init.d/nbclient { start | stop | start_msg | stop_msg }
# /etc/init.d/nbclient start
NetBackup SAN Client Fibre Transport daemon started.


# ps aux | grep -i nbclient | grep -v grep
#

BTW, what does the following mean?

# /usr/openv/netbackup/bin/nbftclnt
nbftclnt exiting, not configured as a SAN CLIENT - bp.conf missing SANCLIENT=1
Use "bpclntcmd set SANCLIENT = 1" to configure as a SAN CLIENT

Please note that on this particular host, Nb Jobs are failing with the status code of 25. I have not been able to figure out why till date. I have posted a related post here on this forum earlier.

Which Netbackup Tool are you using? EX. Symantec, TIvoli

Symantec NetBackup. The NB Server is not able to communicate with the NB Client.

Note: I set "SANCLIENT=1" which also did not help.
