Ummm... to me, this is rather unnecessarily harsh. I didn't see the sig (it's gone now ...), so I don't know if it was "just an advertisement." But, treating the OP's comment at face value now, are there recommended practices about what to do, what to do first, if this most-unfortunate turn of events happens to you? I mean, sure, we could "Google it," but does anyone have any particular hands-on experiences such that they could comment as to what worked and what didn't? Links to particular, notable, recently-updated sites with known-good current information?

If I were facing a suddenly-crashed MySQL table so my entire world is melting around me and I stumbled-upon this very tasty-sounding thread, I'd sure like for it to have some take-away meat to it. If not, maybe the gods should simply nuke the thread altogether. If the thread stays, can we turn it into a "real boy?"
