My Multimedia menu is full of some audio-related stuff, any idea where these came from?
I must have installed something but I'm not sure what is it. Any idea where these came from, and what should I uninstall to get this stuff away, without breaking my system? 🙂
I don't know if any other of the softwares in the Multimedia menu filled the menu with these, or did I install something else what caused this inflow.
Softwares in the Multimedia menu are:
Alsamixer
Asunder CD Ripper
Audacity
Calf Plugin for JACK
Clementine
gMTP
OpenShot Video Editor
PulseAudio Volume Control
Pulse Effects
SimpleScreenRecorder
VLC
Webcamoid
Xfburn

Reason: [SOLVED]
You don't say what DE you are using, but in most right-clicking on the menu item will bring another menu where you can delete or edit this menu item and see what program it is supposed to start. Incidentally, starting it would be even easier.
Pulse Effects &/or Jack would be my guess, although I've never used Webcamoid or gMTP either, but they would seem less likely candidates.

Ah, thank you guys, it was that JACK thing. I'm not sure why I ever have even installed that 🙂
The audio-things were pointing to lsp-plugins in /usr/bin. And I found I had lsp-plugins-jack as installed package. LSP (Linux Studio Plugins) audio-plugins (standalone JACK clients).
Now it is much less confusing trying to view that Multimedia menu 🙂 I wonder why the package didn't create a submenu in the Multimedia menu, could be useful 🙂
