Multiple Kernels: Different XF86Config files?

Hi all...

Quicky: How can I force the use of different XF86Config files for different GRUB options.

Reason is, new kernel doesn't support old driver for graphics card, so want to use generic here, but old kernel does...

Would have thought there should be somewhere to specify the config file to use...

Cheers all for any help...

Chris

What grapic card are you using and your 2 kernel??? Habitually, new kernel has a good backward compatibility with old stuff, you you should be able to use your grapic card on a new kernel.

about xf86config... If you really want to switch your xf86config files, it should be pretty easy to make a script that look at "uname -r" then who switch your files depending the kernel version.
