i am trying to configure MRTG on my linux box 192.168.0.77 and vierw its performance from localhost as well as from another linux box(192.168.0.20) which is in a network.

my snmpd.conf file is as follws:


com2sec local localhost sandeep
com2sec network_1 192.168.0.20 sandeep




group MySnmpGroup v1 local
group MySnmpGroup v2c network_1


view systemview included .1



access MySnmpGroup "" any noauth exact systemview none none

so my snmpwalk amd snmpget are working correctly in query from localhost and 192.168.0.20


i then tried to coinfigure MRTG for graphical performance visualization

i installed MRTG in linux box 192.168.0.77
from my linux box 192.168.0.20 i issued the command

cfgmaker --output=/etc/mrtg/192.168.0.77.cfg -ifref=ip --global "workdir:L /var/www/html/mrtg" --snmp-options=:::::2 sandeep@192.168.0.77
then env LANG=C /usr/bin/mrtg /etc/mrtg/192.168.0.77.cfg and i get the error

WARNING: Couldnot match host:' sandeep@192.168.0.77:::::2' ref:'Ip' Key:'21.1.2.0.0.0.0'

I get the same error when i try to watch from my localhost

can anyone tell me what have i done wrong or is it that i missed a step?
