Mozilla freezes innovation on Thunderbird


Now here's a wrinkle I didn't see coming.

I've been using Thunderbird for years. Not sure what to make of this from a personal standpoint. I know there are alternatives that are very good - its just that TB wears like an old shoe.

Thunderbird will not vanish. The Mozilla people just decided to not give paid developers to the project anymore. Have a look at this comment from a community contributor: http://phoronix.com/forums/showthrea...592#post273592

Hopefully Thunderbird will survive long term, guess Mozilla is in suicide mode now - kinda like Netscape revisited.
