Mount problem


I have mount from host A to host B previously , but now host B is shutdown , then host A can no longer mount the host B . Now , when i run some command such as 'bdf' , then the system will be hang, how to solve the problem ?

so you mean, you need to umount a remote filesystem? You can force umount with -f
umount -f client:/remote/filesystem
and remove the entry for that client in /etc/fstab

ry ( cos the host B was shutdown )
remove the entry for that client in /etc/fstab --> no entry of host B

What happens when you try (as root):

umount -f /mountpoint

where mountpoint is where you mounted
hostB:/remote/filesystem
