motd displays, but clears instantly.

When I connect to my box, the motd file does display, but instantly the screen clears as if 'cls' has been entered.

How do I get the prompt to appear below the motd so the users have time to read what it says?

Thanks in advance.

(( ps the same thing happens when I use 'mtr'. When I ctrl-c to end the traceroutes the screen clears so I'm unable to read or copy the results. I don't know if this is related, but thought I'd mention it just in case. ))

Hello,

When you say "connect to your box," are you logging in like you normally would, or are you using SSH to access your machine? Also, could you post your motd file? Lastly, what distro are you using?

Cheers,

Josh
