Missing Harddrive

I'm new to linux and saying that is an understatment. I had a business associate install my second harddrive to my SUSE linux machine. After formatting and mounting the drives I downloaded some files to it. These files were to be used to start another OS (RedHat Server) but the next time I rebooted hte files were missing. I was wondering i need to remount or what? I don't think linux is seeing the 2nd harddrive but it is there. The Mobo sees it and when I go into disk partioner it recongizes it. I jsut cannot see the files. I am wondering if there is anything i need to do? or if i just have to redownload them (which causes a problem because I needed htem for work for a meeting today)

Thanks in ADvance

*EDIT*

My problems were the second harddrive had to be remounted, once that happened all the files were right there. So i'm saved for my meeting. Thanks everyone

Edit your /etc/fstab to auto-mount your second HDD automatically @ boot.

Of course I've read it.

But it's a pain to remount it everytime you boot.

/etc/fstab offers you a way to mount 'em all before you know!

(Or maybe I didn't understand what you've said )
