mkaczm LQ Newbie Registered: Apr 2004 Posts: 2 Rep:	migrating nis servers Dear Linux experts! I have problem with migration of NIS server. I mean : I have for instance 10 machines in my network and so far my NIS server was machine nr 1, but now I need to make machine nr 2 a NIS server without loosing anything from current information existing in machine nr 1. Please help me how to do it? Is the only way to copy passwd file from machine nr 1 into machine nr 2 and generate new yp map? Kind regards mkaczm
