Messenger and Linux
Hi, I have a hotmail account, but now I want to cancel it and I want to join www.Linuxmail.com or www.bsdmail.com, but is there a way to have some kind of messenger with those Mails? or what Linux email have a messenger?
you can still use MSN Messenger with another email address, you just have to register it as a .net passport or whatever its called.
for msn clients on linux i recommend gaim and dMSN.
hope it helps!

I don't use hotmail alot ... could you please explain what you mean by does X email account have a messenger?
to be able to use the msn messenger network, you need to have an account on it (hotmail, for example)...
even if you get an email address somewhere else, you'll need to use the hotmail account to log into the msn network... there's lot's of folks that have a hotmail account just for the messenger, they don't use the email (maybe for junk mail)...
there's lot's of choices when it comes to selecting an msn messenger client for linux... some, like "amsn", only work with msn, but some, like "gaim" and "kopete", work on many more networks (msn, yahoo, icq, aol, irc, etc.)...
