Question mandrake won't install

1. Just got a Toshiba 5650 notebook. It's a P4. Mandrake 8.1 starts to install and hangs up on "searching for PCMCIA Card.

2. I lost my instructions to edit lilo so that Mandrake will install the correct Nvida card drivers.

Does anyone have suggestions?

TIA

Peter

Welcome.

If you have a PC card, insert it. Or else, choose no PCMCIA. But you won't be able to use PC card shall the need arise.

Thanks for the replies, but my problem continues. LILO is the boot loader and IIRC 8.1 requires a modification with the Nivida card.

The PCMCIA Card is in the slot and is needed.
Is ther any other source for help with this problem.
