Question Mandrake 8.0/KDE

Got a question (go figure). When running Mandrake 8.0 I started an HTML editor, screem. The program initialized but never fully started. Now, (that I was stupid enough to use the restore session option for next boot) it comes up and shows the "splash" screen, but never starts enough so that I can kill it. It also stays in focus so that it is on top of any program I do start.

My question is this. HOW DO I KILL THE DAMN THING????

Any suggestions would be most appreciative. helpful suggesions are the goal, however.
