mandrake 8.0 http domain faults

when installing mandrake 8.0 while at work. i used the local domain and ip addy. server is a nt military server build 4.0. have administrator access to server. mandrake is asking for a proxy login. admin and user logins are not logging into the system. any way to go around this or to boot the system with out having to have the proxy login. after attempts to login to proxy, system hangs on detecting usb support..system is a 233 mmx p1 with 96 meg ram..system will be used to run my home network. so all the server systems are installed during setup. any ideas...i am available on yahoo for someone to help me or will be online till 7am est. while at work..
