MANDRAKE 7.2 - setting up X Window configuration


HELP -
TNT2 16Mb on board (PC1)
voodoo 3 16MB AGP (PC2)
generic SVGA monitor 1024 x 764
resolution 800x600 16million colours(24bits)


test configuration ===> results

an error has occurred:
SVGA 24bbp is not supported for this chipset

OR

could not change font 'fixed'


WHAT the ....

using the default Xfree86 3.3.6

Anyone in Adelaide Australia with current distros Please email me or burn me a CD of RH7.2 or MAdrake 8.2? hehehhe

if ther eis samiritan out there ????

I currently only have a dial up access...

you should do a search on this site with that error about font fixed or related to it.. there have been similiar problems like this already asked.
