I would like to make the menu fonts larger. In Windows I use a userchrome.css setting that does not seem to work at all in my distro based on Ubuntu 20.04. Trying something else, I tried the advice given here https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1260063 by jscher2000. The changes I made to layout.css.devPixelsPerPx do not stick and revert back to the default. I get no permissions prompts for going into this. Is there somewhere else I can make these edits. Thanks

It works fine for me in kubuntu 20.04. However, since firefox 69 userChrome.css is disabled by default and you have to reset it in about:config to activate it. This link goes into detail on how to do that:
That's probably what you're running into. Note, once you reset this in about:config, subsequent updates of firefox will respect that setting and not revert back to the default behavior.

I added the Chrome folder with my userchrome.css file in side. I double checked the config setting and it was still set to true from when I changed it. I remember this happening a while back and resetting something fixed that which is probably what I did. However this did not seem to work either. I added the Chrome folder to my default profile in my .mozilla folder which is inside my User files folder. Am I supposed to put this somewhere else? Thanks

It may be just a typo, but that folder should be lower case, i.e. chrome, not Chrome. If yours is upper case, that may be the problem. If that's not what's causing the problem, we'll have to get into your about:config settings.
