Major cock up


oops i have accedently deleted libc.so.6 from my system

now nothing works

is there any way i can restore this?

or at least get a newer copy off the web?


HELP! please!!

I'd first try going into rescue mode. Assuming this is on Mandrake you will plop in your install CD and at the opening screen press F1, then type rescue.

After that, see about (re)installing glibc.

That'd be what I'd do anyway

get a rescue disk with wget or similar, then find a site offering that file or the package that offers it. Then use the rescue disk to download and replace the missing file... reboot... im no expert but this should work...
