Maintenance of linux box

Hey all,
Long time no see.
I just decided that my box needs something nice as a favor for working so well... So is there a way I can fix errors, like in winblowz - by defragmenting, running scandisk, etc. A few times my box has been shut down unproperly.

Small note: Defragmenting isn't needed in Linux.

fsck, depending on your filesystem, is similar to scandisk under windows. It should be set to run automatically every 80 days or after a certain of mounts, but you can do a more exhaustive check if you wish.
