loopback runtime live cd

http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-live-cd.htm

Hi,

Have been trying to boot the above from a flash drive using
a frugal install or a loopback with grub2. No success.

Has anyone successful done this with this ISO ?

THX.

I might be tempted to look at a few ways to get this to work.

One being the ways one might find on pendrivelinux. Using things like Grub4dos or even syslinux/isolinux or trying installers like unetbootin and live creator.

Might simply work using dd if it is hybrid.

The WinPE type used to be used and I think this version uses wine as I recall. There are ways to get the WinPE/BartsPE/UBCD4win to work also on a usb.

Well, whatever linux-wise you can get it to work......

I don't think it is a hybrid, their support contact doesn't
support the free version, so....

When I do a grub2 loopback my best effort tells me it cannot
read or find Dir Knoppix in /dev/sdb1/isos/runtime.iso

But at least it's booting and trying to find the Knoppix
directory. One small adjustment is probably all it needs.

Download a copy and give it a try, no rush, just something I
wanted to add to my loopback flash drive.

thanks for the response,

Patrick

Maybe like this. http://www.howtogeek.com/196933/how-...Speed=noscript

May run into issues on usb 3 by the way.
