Looking for a linux distrobution that is small, and consumes littlle power.

I'm looking for a linux distrobution that has good power saving and is small that runs from the hard drive. I would like it to be optimized for playing DVD's pretty much, I want to use it to watch DVDs on my laptop without consuming all the power of running windows. Does anyone have any suggestions?

DSL Damn Small Linux.

I've heard, but have not experienced, that it is an excellent distro that is very small in size and very efficient. It can be customized for just about anything. I would check it out.

I don't think that "little power" usage can be gained by
the distro if the objective is watching DVDs. ANY OS will
be spinning the media, any OS will be using the CPU, video-card,
memory and sound ...

That said: DSL certainly uses very little space when installed.

Cheers,
